Our 2027 Iceland Land and Cruise Tour

I’m excited to announce our 11-day Iceland group land and cruise tour! Here are the basic details, and then read on for everything that’s included: 2027 Iceland Cruise.

• July 12-22, 2027. If you’re coming from the United States, that means you are likely departing for Iceland no later than the evening of July 11th, and flying overnight.)
• 3 day land tour, followed by a 7-day cruise around all of Iceland
• Maximum of 24 people on the tour
• $8,200 per person, assuming double occupancy
• All-inclusive with everything you need for your trip. Really, everything, except for airfare. From power adapters to cruise excursions, it’s all taken care of. (See more details below, though!)
• I (Eric) will be with you for the entire trip! And we’ll have a driver with us as well for the land portion of the trip.

We’ll spend the first 3 days of the tour on land, exploring some of my favorite parts of Iceland. See the famous waterfalls of the Golden Circle and the South Coast. Swim at a one of Iceland’s new luxurious geothermal spas. Dine inside the famous geothermal tomato greenhouse. Take a ride on an Icelandic horse, a breed that has been preserved for over 1,000 years since Viking times. See a glacier and a black sand beach. Spot some puffins!

Included in the price:

• Premium airport transfer or pickup. Arrive a day early to adjust to the time change, and we’ll include a private transfer to Reykjavik, only with other people on your flight. Early arrival hotel for an additional fee, but you can also arrive early the morning of the 12th and join the tour straight from the airport.
• Lodging for 3 nights (July, 12th, 13th and 14th.)
• All meals
• Private driver for the group
• All activities and tours
• 1 alcoholic drink with dinner. (Sorry, alcohol in Iceland is expensive!)

Part 2: The Iceland Circumnavigation Cruise

The next 7 days we will spend at sea on a luxury cruise. We’ll be on a small luxury cruise ship, with a maximum of only around 300 passengers. And, Iceland is small: only about the size of Kentucky. That means the ship can circumnavigate the entire country without spending any days at sea. Every day you’ll be at a port, exploring one of five Icelandic towns in addition to Reykjavik.

Here’s where the all-inclusive really gets going. The price includes:

• An Oceanview suite with separate living and sleeping areas. (Upgraded balcony rooms available at a higher price. Slight downgrades are also available for a slightly lower price, mostly based on room location.)
• Unlimited drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), gratuities, and WiFi on board the ship
• Amazing food and 24-hour room service
• Handpicked excursions for the group. These aren’t just basic walking tours. We’ll do bus tours and hikes and boat rides and whale watching and my favorite excursions in each port.
• A $100 onboard credit per cabin, which I’m honestly not sure how you’ll spend. A spa service or the store on the ship, I guess?
• Transfer to the airport. (This may be with a larger group, if other people on the tour have flights at similar times.)

What’s not included in the price?

We’ve included just about everything you’ll need for the trip, besides airfare. If you arrive in Iceland the morning of July 12 and depart the afternoon of July 22nd, you may not have to spend a single extra dollar except for getting to and from Iceland. Here’s what’s not included:

• Flights to and from Iceland. You’ll be flying into Keflavik (KEF) airport. Your ticket will likely say Reykjavik, but the airport is a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik! Most of my clients book airfare themselves, but I’m happy to book for you if you’d prefer.
• ETIAS European Visa, which may or may not be required to enter Iceland. Implementation of the system has been pushed back repeatedly for years, so I don’t know if it will be active next summer. If it is, this will an additional $25 per person or so.

• Additional lodging before the trip. If you can find a flight that arrives into KEF before 7:30 AM or so on July 12th, you can join the tour straight from the airport. Many flights from North America, especially from the east coat, arrive between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM after an overnight flight.
  
  Or you can arrive earlier, either because the flight schedule doesn’t work, or because you want to adjust to the time change before starting the tour. We can reserve a hotel for you in Reykjavik before the tour, and then pick you up from there the morning of July 12th. You would just pay for the additional hotel night or nights. We can give you some recommendations for things to do in Reykjavik while you’re there.
• Additional lodging after the trip. The ship returns to Reykjavik early in the morning on July 22nd. If you fly home the afternoon of July 22nd at noon or later, you won’t need to spend an extra night in Reykjavik. This works with many flights back to North America, which ten to leave later in the afternoon, around 4:00 PM. If you can’t find a later flight, or if you want more time to relax in Reykjavik, you can pay for 1 or more additional hotel nights in Reykjavik.
  
  Expect a nice hotel in Reykjavik to cost about $350 – $450 per night, though there are options both less and more expensive than that range.
• Extra alcohol on the land tour. Once you’re on the ship you can drink as much as you’d like! But on land, unfortunately, alcohol in Iceland costs almost 3 times as much as the average price in Europe! With cocktails costing $30 or more each at some nicer restaurants, there’s only so much alcohol we can include in the price of the tour.
• Snacks and souvenirs. You’ll get 3 meals a day until you board the ship, but you’re on your own for snacks on the land tour. And of course, any souvenirs are also on you, unless you use the $100 credit on board the ship!

The benefits of our 2027 Iceland Land and Cruise Tour

We build the entire trip from scratch, working directly with Icelandic companies for lodging, tours, and excursions. A similar comprehensive 2027 Iceland cruise tour would cost about $3,000 – $4,000 more. And you might not be on a smaller tour van. And Eric wouldn’t be with you! (Hopefully that’s a benefit?)

Eric also handpicks the tours and excursions. We’ll be with smaller companies that the larger cruise lines don’t bother working with. And we’ll add in new places to visit in Iceland that other pre-planned tours won’t include. Like a premium hot spring that is just opening up now, in September 2026!

We also send you an Iceland goodie bag with power adapters, a copy of our travel guidebook, tourist maps, and even a small but of Icelandic currency!

We can then send you an agreement with more details. There is a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total tour price, due when we reserve your spots on the tour. Then additional payments will be due in January 2027 (6 months before the trip) and April 2027 (3 months before the trip.)
